Anne Rice, author of “Gothic Novels” and “Interview with the Vampire”, dead at 80

Anne Rice, the iconic author of “Gothic Novels” and “Interview with the Vampire”, died on the late night of December 11, 2021. The news was announced by her son Christopher Rice, who said in the statement that the author died due to complications from a stroke.

Her son also said how he sat beside her in her final hours and admired his mother and her accomplishments, which will always be a source of courage for many.
Anne Rice authored the book “Interview with the Vampire” of 1976, which later on was adopted as a movie starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in 1994, and is also expected to be in a TV series format in years to come.

One of her novels, titles “Feast of All Saints” became a showtime miniseries in 2001, which was about the free people of color of Antebellum News Orleans.

Rice was married to poet Stan, who left her 19 years ago in 2002.
