Pyongyang, North Korea:- North Korea tested ICBM Hwasong-17, which can potentially attack more than half of the USA with its reach of 1100 km (684 miles).
Hwasong-17 is an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) that has been into testing since 2017, and with several changes and step testing, the ICBM was successfully launched on 25th March 2022.
The missile launched achieved a maximum height of 6250 km (3884 miles) and traveled a distance of 1100 km (684 miles) successfully hitting its target in the sea of Japan, off Japan’s western coast.
The Korean Central News Agency released the pictures and information about the launch and its successful delivery, with proper data about the ICBM.
The Korean Central News Agency called this launch a ‘Great Military Muscle’, while others in the government and administration called this launch ‘Priceless and Miraculous’.
ICBM Hwasong-17 is the world’s largest liquid-fuelled missile that can be launched from a road-mobile launcher.
Kim Jong Un was himself present for the launch in his “New Looks”, as he ordered this crucial launch citing the military tensions in West Asia and mainly on the Korean peninsula.
Immediately after the launch, the leaders from South Korea, Japan, and the USA reacted by condemning the launch and passing many sanctions against North Korea and people supporting the launch.
UNSC announced two new sanctions on two Russian companies in reaction to launch who are believed to be supporting the North Korean missile program. More sanctions were imposed against North Korea’s Second Academy of Natural Science Foreign Affairs and some individuals from Russia and North Korea for suppling crucial missile parts.
North Korea tested ICBM successfully for the first time and the range of ICBM is a matter of worry for the USA and other states in its range,
