Dutch F-35 Counters Three Russian Fighter Jets over Poland

Poland:- Two Dutch F-35 fighter jets have reportedly countered three Russian military fighter jets in the skies of Poland, and have driven them out of Poland. The Russian jets entered NATO Poland while the F-35 jets from the Netherlands were in the air.

At the time, the fighter jet was tagged unknown, but after the identification, they found out that the three jets were Russian IL-20M Coot-A which was escorted by two Su-27 Flankers.

Il-20M Coot-A is NATO’s given name for the Russian Ilyushin Il-20M aircraft, and Su-27 Flankers is NATO’s tagged name for the Sukhoi Su-28 fighter jet.

Eight Dutch F-35 jets were stationed in Poland at the time when three unidentified jets were reported in the polish sky, out of which two were patrolling the NATO ally airspace.
It was first reported by Reuters, and when asked for a comment from the Russian Defense Military, there was no immediate response.

The Russian jets were identified to have taken off from Kaliningrad, which is a Russian Exclave located in Europe, between Lithuania and Poland along the Baltic Coast.
