Netflix declines to work with Will Smith in reaction to his ‘Slap’ to Chris Rock

Will Smith is now facing protest from across the platforms, first from the comedians and YouTubers, and now it is affecting his work as Netflix backs away from his movie “Fast and Loose.”
The movie director already lost DIrector David Leitch to Universal, who denied working with Will Smith, though this was before the Oscar Slap incident.

Universal and Netflix were in a competition to get David Leitch for their next project. The timing of David Leitch choosing Univeral and walking away from Netflix produced Will Smith movie “Fast and Loose”

After the slapping incident of Oscar, where Will Smith slapped the Comedian and Oscars host Chris Rock for cracking a G.I Jane joke on his wife, Netflix got another reason to put away the Will Smith movie.

Apple+ produced “Emancipation”, which is currently in post-production, starring Will Smith is planned to debut this year, but dates of release are not released and are speculated to delay the release citing the backlash at Will Smith when asked about the dealy, Apple+ declined to comment.
