Greenland:- Rapidly melting Greenland Ice Sheet will raise the world sea level by 10.6 inches or 28 centimeters, which is twice to the previous assumptions.
Greenland Ice Sheet is called the “Zombie Ice” because of the consequences it’s gonna cause, as this big structure has detached itself from the main chain and now receives almost no snow to replenish itself.
Zombie Ice without any replenishment from the parent glacier will melt and there will be an inevitable rise in the sea level by 10.6 inches or even more, according to a recent study data released on August 29, 2022.
Glaciologists call it a “Dead Ice” whose death will kill many humans because of the rising sea level, irrespective of the efforts humans can make now.
The maximum rise due to the Zombie Ice sheet melting is said to be 30 inches, but scientists believe that it’s “Too Much” for an ice sheet of that size to cause.
