August 6, 2019, The Liberacy:- Jammu and Kashmir had its faith rewritten on the 5th of August 2019, after the big travel alert in the state amid Amarnath Yatra cancellation due to a terror attack speculation.
Late night on Sunday, the administration sought the orders of the central government in New Delhi to circulate section 144 CrPc in Shrinagar and further adding to the order, the same was imposed in Jammu from 6 am on Monday with the presence of 30,000 army personals and more troops adding to it.
With lots of guessing of what was going to happen, everyone eyed to the cabinet meeting at 9:30 am on Monday. The meeting was at PM’s house and after the meeting ended the Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah had his way to the Parliament.
At 11 am, the HM gave a speech at the upper house Rajya Sabha, but it was more than just speech.
He tabled the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill 2019 in the house with the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Bill 2019 and the resolution revoking Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.
After started reading from his paper HM Amit Shah made it clear by 11:08 that all the parts of Article 370 with not be in working except for the first section. This automatically scrapped section 35A of the Indian Constitution.
Further reading of the bill, the state of Jammu and Kashmir was no more a state but was converted into a Union Territory with a little twist of partition.
After revoking Article 370, the State of Jammu and Kashmir was divided into two Union Territories namely, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
Thus, India now has 28 States and 9 Union Territories.
The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will be with a legislature and the Union Territory will be without any legislature.
This will scrape out the different constitution and flag of J&K, which was long pending stating that, “One Nation, One Constitution, and One Flag.”
The bill laid in the Upper House was passed after a day-long discussion with a majority of 125 and against 61. This included the votes of the member of some of the opposition parties of BJP, including AAP and BJD.
The bill will be presented in the lower house on Tuesday and as the government has the absolute majority in the house, the bill is expected to pass with any obstacle. The bill will be then sent to the president and thus the new orders will be implemented.
This new settlement will now abolish the post of Governor in J&K and have lieutenant governor as the state head with Chief Minister below.
The scraping of Article 370 has been a long-pending work of almost all the governments that kept the people of J&K away from any kind of development.
