Fukushima, Japan:- Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant under great threat following the 7.3 magnitude Earthquake in Japan and Tsunami warnings issued.
An earthquake of 7.3 magnitude rattled the eastern coast along Fukushima, affecting capital Tokyo, with around 3 million people facing power outage, and Tsunami warning issued.
The center of the earthquake was 60-km off the coast of Fukushima on Wednesday, 16th March 2020 at 11:36 pm local time.
Till now, the Fukushima Nuclear authority has signaled “Safe Conditions”, as no abnormal reactions of the earthquake on the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant were detected, but it remains under threat following the shockwaves after the massive earthquake.
In 2011, Japan Earthquake of 9.0 magnitude, the nuclear power plants of Fukushima went under meltdown creating a disaster.
As soon as the 7.3 magnitude earthquake was detected on the Richter scale, tsunami warnings were issued, as the waves went 2 meters high with no delay.
There has been a massive power outage in the region with more than 3 million people affected.
