Fukushima, Japan:- Japan Earthquake of 7.3 magnitude rattled the eastern coast along Fukushima, affecting capital Tokyo, with around 3 million people facing power outage, and Tsunami warning issued.
The center of the earthquake was 60-km off the coast of Fukushima on Wednesday, 16th March 2020 at 11:36 pm local time.
The Fukushima Nuclear authority has signaled “Safe” till now, as no abnormal reactions of the earthquake on the Nuclear plant were detected.
In 2011, Japan Earthquake of 9.0 magnitude, the nuclear power plants of Fukushima went under meltdown creating a disaster.
As soon as the 7.3 magnitude earthquake was detected on the Richter scale, tsunami warnings were issued, as the waves went 2 meters high with no delay.
Police and ambulance were rushed to the places nearby citing the potential disaster and the coming successive earthquakes or shockwaves, which are yet to hit the ground.
There has been a massive power outage in the region with more than 3 million people affected.
