Moscow, Russia:- World looks closely if there will be any Russian nuclear attack on Ukraine, as the war continues to intensify. The reports suggest that any kind of Nuclear Bombing of Ukraine is unlikely, citing the Nuclear doctrine of Russia.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that it is highly unlikely for Russia to use weapons of nuclear capabilities, citing the nuclear doctrine of Russia and its stance, that Russia will only use Nuclear Weapons when there is a ‘Threat for Existence’ to Russia and the Russian citizens.
On the other hand, Russian Senior politician Dmitry Medvedev said that “Russia’s nuclear doctrine does not require an enemy state to use such weapons first.”
Contradicting but still in line.
Russia has already used some of its major and lethal weapons in the War with Ukraine, like the Vaccum bomb, but the use of Nuclear Bombs seems unlikely as the war fought is not on Russian soil and hence possess no threat to the Russian population militarily. But, the sanctions and limitations, that have caused grave concern for Russia, can be cited as a threat to Russia, but is it an ‘existential threat’?
Russia and Ukraine are still to sit across the table of talks, and there is no sign of de-escalation.
Russian nuclear attack on Ukraine trended on social platforms as the war intensified, nearing the fall of the capital.
