Indian Railway has provided many means to get passengers a ticket to travel, and one among them is RAC Ticket (Reservation Against Cancellation) which is not liked much by the passengers but some agree to cite the need.
Know below what is a RAC ticket in Indian Railways?
Reservation Against Cancellation (RAC) is half berth allotted to a passenger and if there are any seats going vacant during the travel, these passengers are considered for a full berth.
But what is half berth?
The side seats are specially designed for half-seat booking, where two passengers have to share a single seat until one is allotted a full berth.
RAC is considered better than the waiting list as passengers can travel using a ticket, unlike in the waiting list where you are considered without a ticket if the waiting list is not confirmed.
