Washington DC, USA:- FCC Commissioner has asked Google and Apple for TikTok to be Banned from their App Stores for Download in the US. The move comes from the FCC Head Brendan Carr showed concerns about the data being watched in Beijing by the officials of the Chinese Government.
“I’ve called on @Apple & @Google to remove TikTok from their app stores for its pattern of surreptitious data practices.” he tweeted.
The FCC Head wrote letters to the CEOs of Google and Apple, a letter which can be called ‘Pretty Damning’, and listed out his wants and reasons. He also posted the letter on his Twitter.
If the demand is accepted, TikTok will be banned in the US and the ‘Influencers’ may rage out at the government, on the other hand, the government is only trying to protect the privacy of its people.
India has already banned TikTok and the same trend surfaced for months “TikTok to be Banned in India” were the headlines and the government was in the same page as the headlines and pointed out the privacy concerns, India banned TikTok.
