Indonesia Earthquake of 5.6 Magnitude Kills 63

Jakarta, Indonesia:- Indonesia Earthquake shakes the west Java province with a 5.6 magnitude strong earthquake struck Cianjur town, the epicenter of the earthquake.
As many as 63 deaths have been reported in the initial outcome from the local administration.

Locals have suggested that death tolls may rise to many citing the number of severe injuries that the four major hospitals of Cianjur town are looking at.

Cianjur is 75 km southeast of the capital Jakarta of Indonesia, and the epicenter was 10 km deep inside the earth from the outer crust. The Indonesian weather and geophysics agency (BMKG) has said that there are no signs of any potential Tsunami hitting any of the Indonesian islands.

Footages show many schools and Islamic boarding schools in the area being damaged and many trashed to the ground. Many buildings are rubbled to the ground.
The locals are narrating the time when the Indonesia Earthquake happened, and sharing how the buildings shook with huge tremors.

A total of 25 aftershocks have been reported since the first wave of the earthquake struck Cianjur.
Indonesia is situated in the highly seismically active zone, also known as the “Pacific Ring of Fire” and thus experiences many such earthquakes that take many lives.
