Ayodhya-Babri Masjid: SC to hear the appeal from 25 July

New Delhi, July 12, 2019, The Liberacy:– Ayodhya-Babri Masjid case has been the most high profile and politically sensitive case since over many decades. The case has been running in the Supreme Court of India. On Thursday, responding to the progress report on the Mediation talks to settle the dispute outside the court. The Supreme Court said that it may begin to hear the appeal from July 25, 2019. If the hearing proceeds, it will hear the appeal on a daily basis. It is to resolve the dispute in the fastest way since it’s been on halt for decades now.

A five-judge bench headed by the Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi asked the chairperson of the three-member panel of the mediation talks and the former judge to the supreme court, FMI Kalifulla to present the progress report by July 18.

The five-judge bench comprising of CJI Ranjan Gogoi, SA Bobde, DY Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and SA Nazeer said, that they will pass the further order once they receive the mediation talks progress report on July 18.

They also said that they will begin the hearing proceedings if the report comes to no conclusion. The hearing will be on a daily basis until a result is achieved.
